BareTimer is a minimal CrossFit timer app. It is designed to do one thing well, and that does not include collecting your data.
What we collect
Nothing.
BareTimer does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, usage data, analytics, or device identifiers. The app runs entirely on your device and works offline.
We do not use:
- Analytics or tracking services
- Crash reporting services
- Advertising networks
- User accounts or sign-in
- Cloud sync or backups
- Cookies or similar technologies
What permissions we use, and why
BareTimer requests only the permissions strictly necessary for a workout timer to function:
- Wake lock: keeps your screen on while a timer is running, so it doesn't turn off mid-workout. Used only while a timer is active. No data is sent or stored.
- Audio output: plays beeps and tones to cue intervals. The app uses your device's speaker; no microphone access is requested.
- Vibration: triggers haptic feedback for interval transitions, if your device supports it.
The app does not request access to:
- Network or internet
- Location
- Contacts, photos, files, or storage
- Microphone or camera
- Calendar or other personal data
Data shared with third parties
None. The app contains no third-party SDKs that collect data.
Children's privacy
BareTimer is suitable for all ages and does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new "Last updated" date.
